Lisa Marie Presley Makes Grand Ole Opry Debut August 21
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 22, 2012) Lisa Marie Presley made her Grand Ole Opry debut last night and wowed the sold-out audience by performing three songs from her current album, the Americana release Storm & Grace. Presley came on stage to a rousing welcome from the audience and immediately launched into "Over Me" followed by "Storm of Nails" and "Weary."
"It's an honor for me to be here. Thank you for having me," Presley said in appreciation of the warm welcome she received. Backstage she added, "I grew up not far away and am a huge fan of so many who have been here. I know how important this is."
Storm & Grace is Presley's debut on Universal Republic/XIX Recordings and was produced by 12-time Grammy®-winner T Bone Burnett, whose credits include the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack as well as Alison Krauss and Robert Plant, Roy Orbison, and more. Presley co-wrote all of the songs on the album.
