Lisa Marie Presley performs her first UK gig despite suffering from a cold
She relocated to the English countryside just over two years ago so its no surprise that Lisa Marie Presley was excited about performing her first gig in her adopted home country.
The only daughter of Elvis Presley, who decided to shun the LA lifestyle and make rural East Sussex her home, took to the stage at Bush Hall in Shepherd's Bush on Thursday night, despite being under the weather.
Performing her own tracks and dueting with British singer-songwriter Ed Harcourt, Lisa Marie wowed the audience in her highly anticipated first UK gig.
Although the 44-year-old was suffering from a cold, she didn't let that put her off showing the UK audience her musical talents.
With a box of tissues and a bottle of water close to hand, the daughter of The King persevered, singing tracks from her new album Storm & Grace which is released later this month.
Wearing a black, knitted dress, combined with smokey eyes and tousled hair, she looked every inch the rock chick.
Lisa-Marie wasn't the only famous offspring on the stage however, as Chuck Berry's nephew Al Berry played bass in her band.
Desperately trying to emerge from her father's shadow, the musician might finally have found her feet, after receiving mixed reviews for her previous albums.
The American star decided to leave her Californian lifestyle behind when she made the permanent move the the UK in 2010.
Preferring the laid back lifestyle of the English countryside, Lisa Marie built a new life for herself with her husband Michael Lockwood and daughters Harper and Finley.
The Scientologist, who has been married four times, has certainly embraced the English way of life.
As well as mixing with the locals, Lisa Marie has admitted to enjoying the odd pint of Guinness, playing darts in the local pub and eating fish and chips.
After the gig, the American musician took to Twitter, clearly happy with her performance:
'Thank you England 4 making our first show here amazing and incredible, we adore you, L', (sic) she wrote.
